 Gregory Ahrbeck

Managing Director 

 

Gregory Ahrbeck is the founder and Managing Director of AHRKO

Born in South Africa, Gregory was one of the founding directors of McCreedy Friedlander, a property consulting firm in Southern Africa.

Gregory headed up the retail development division, and was responsible for packaging up several large retail shopping centres.

In 1998, Gregory was invited by First Pacific Davies Australia (FPD) to head up their commercial property office in Melbourne, and made the move with his family.

After spending 12 months with (FPD), Gregory left to pursue his own interests, and was responsible for packaging up majority of the Fitness First clubs in Melbourne, and essentially getting them on the map in Victoria. 

In addition to a number residential property developments undertaken, Gregory also packaged up the $50 million + Home Makers Centre in Mornington, and the Masters site in Tyabb Road Mornington. 

Gregory has an Advanced Diploma in Business Management, is exceptionally driven, dynamic, honest and well respected.

Professor Andrew Ooi is an academic staff member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Melbourne and Associate Dean (Student Engagement) in the Melbourne School of Engineering.

Prof Ooi graduated with a BEng in 1993 and PhD in 1997 from the University of Melbourne. Prior to his current appointment, Andrew worked at the Centre for Turbulence Research (CTR) at NASA Ames, Stanford University and as a research scientist at the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO).

Jon McNaught

Director

 

Jon McNaught  is a born and bred Gippslander, and has over 20 years of experience as a mechanical engineer and project manager in industry.

Jon has substantial experience in project development, detailed design, approvals and delivery on many projects – from small building projects to large and complex industrial brownfield projects. He has worked across the country, and in recent years has been involved in many of the Gippsland’s developing projects in coal, transport, dairy and alternative energy.

For the past 15 years he has been directly involved in all Victoria’s coal mines and processing plants, including assisting with the development of a number of local, Japanese, Chinese and Indian led brown coal projects in Latrobe Valley. Jon is a director of Savla Advisory, board member (Deputy Chair) on Committee for Gippsland and is currently the CEO of ViPlus Dairy. He lives on a farm in Gippsland with his family.

Jeremy Pooley

Jeremy Pooley has over 25 years executive experience in business start-ups, business funding and business strategy, having been a Partner at PwC consulting to major corporations, an executive at AMP, and a start-up business owner.  

He has devoted the last 4 years, as a Director at PKF and latterly in his own company Triple Innovation, to bring his strategy and business experience to support innovative SME entrepreneurs and more established businesses to develop market ready products, business and financial models that make commercial sense, raise the funding they need to succeed, and then to apply strong governance processes to underpin success. 

Jeremy works across many sectors including manufacturing, engineering, resources and health.  Jeremy holds a Master of Laws and Bachelor of Economics degrees and is a graduate of Stanford University and London Business School programs.
